The JCB3-OF, a new auxiliary contact module designed to expand the capabilities of its popular JCB3-80 series miniature circuit breakers. This addition provides crucial remote signaling for automated systems and maintenance teams, offering a clearer picture of a circuit’s status without manual checks.
The primary function of the JCB3-OF is to act as a signaling device. When assembled directly onto a compatible JCB3-80 circuit breaker, it provides a discrete electrical signal that indicates whether the breaker is in the ON or OFF position. This allows for remote monitoring from a control panel, enabling operators to quickly identify which part of a system has been tripped or switched off, significantly speeding up diagnostics and response times.
Engineered for reliability, the module is rated for a wide range of applications. It operates effectively in both AC and DC systems, handling voltages up to 415V AC and 125V DC. With a rated thermal current of 6A and a robust making and breaking capacity tested over 6,050 cycles, it is built to last in demanding electrical environments. The unit is designed for standard 35mm DIN rail installation alongside the breaker, making retrofits and new installations straightforward for electricians.
The JCB3-OF is designed to perform under typical industrial conditions, functioning reliably in ambient temperatures from -20°C to +60°C and at altitudes up to 2000 meters. Its compliance with the IEC 60947-5-1 international standard ensures it meets rigorous safety and performance benchmarks, providing engineers and installers with confidence in its integration into various electrical protection schemes.
