A new range of Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELCBs) has been launched, designed to provide a higher standard of electrical safety for a wide array of environments. The JCBSLM-80 series promises to be a versatile solution for electricians and project managers overseeing installations in everything from residential houses to complex industrial buildings.
What sets this product apart is its comprehensive protective features. It guards against earth leakage, overloads, and short circuits, with a strong breaking capacity of 6,000 amps. Users can tailor the device to specific needs, selecting from a wide range of rated currents, starting as low as 6 amps and going up to 80 amps. This flexibility ensures the right level of protection for different circuit loads, whether for lighting, power outlets, or machinery.
A key consideration for modern electrical design is the type of equipment being used. Recognizing this, the series offers a choice between Type A and Type AC sensitivities. This is crucial because Type A can detect both smooth DC and pulsating residual currents, which are increasingly common with modern appliances like variable-speed drives and home electronics, whereas Type AC covers traditional alternating currents.
Installers will appreciate the practical design touches. The breaker allows for connection from either the top or bottom, simplifying wiring in tight distribution boards.
