RCBO Enhances Home Electrical Safety Standards
The JCB2LE-80M RCBO offers advanced protection against overloads, short circuits, and earth leakage. Its versatile design, suitable for various settings, simplifies installation and improves safety for modern electrical systems.
A significant advancement in electrical safety has arrived with the launch of the JCB2LE-80M RCBO. This innovative device is designed to provide comprehensive protection for residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems, integrating three critical safety functions into a single unit: short circuit protection, overload protection, and earth leakage protection.
This dual-pole Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overload (RCBO) is a versatile solution for modern distribution boards. Its key advantage lies in its ability to completely isolate a faulty circuit by switching both the live and neutral wires, a feature that significantly enhances safety during maintenance or in the event of a fault. Furthermore, the inclusion of neutral pole switching is a thoughtful design choice that reduces the time electricians spend on installation and commissioning tests, streamlining the entire process.
The product’s flexibility is a major selling point. It is available in a wide range of amperages, from 6A to an impressive 80A, catering to everything from small residential circuits to more demanding applications. Electricians can also select from B or C tripping curves to match the specific inrush current characteristics of the connected appliances, ensuring optimal performance without nuisance tripping. For personal shock protection, sensitivities of 30mA, 100mA, or 300mA are offered, allowing for precise customization based on the location and requirements of the installation.
Adding to its user-friendly design, the RCBO features a clear contact indicator, providing an immediate visual confirmation of the switch’s status. Its breaking capacity of 6kA (with an upgrade to 10kA available for models from 6A to 40A) ensures it can reliably handle high fault currents. Compliant with the stringent international IEC 61009-1 standard, this electronic-type RCBO guarantees reliability and safety. With the convenience of top or bottom connections and a recommended torque of 2.5N.m, it is engineered for both security and ease of use, representing a thoughtful step forward in protecting people and property from electrical hazards.
